We have an opening for an experienced, innovative, strategic Marketing Manager (HE)in ourWhitby, Ontariooffice.
Reporting to the Director, HE Propositions Marketing, the Marketing Manager (HE)supports the Director responsible for specified platform assignments. The MM contributes to the development of the overall global GTM value proposition story and GTM strategy. The MM works in collaboration with the platform marketing services group to develop and maintain platform GTM rep and campaign assets for the regions to deploy locally in their markets. The MM works closely with the region marketing leads to gather insights and GTM support requirements that inform the global strategy. The MM also works closely with the platform development team as a key consult to help guide and inform the platform road map by providing relevant persona, market and competitive insights. The MM provides oversight for platform branding and overall governance for branding standards.
Critical Functions:
• Research / Insights:
◦ Fields relevant global market research, tracking, competitive analysis and message testing to guide market positioning, message development and overall GTM strategy. Leads efforts to field, gather and package reason to believe efficacy research, competitive benchmarking and leadership claims.
• Story / Branding:
◦ Contributes to development and validation of GTM platform positioning, messaging and branding guidelines.
• Rep Enablement:
◦ Develops and maintains rep enablement assets for region level deployment ie. pricing rate card, play book , competitive intel, clickable demos, question guides, brochures/ collateral, contracts / SLAs, FDOC templates, on-boarding program, comping, persona and segment targeting strategies, Spark site repository for rep assets/ tools.
• Content Marketing:
◦ Works with platform marketing services to develop and validate relevant platform level content to guide selling efforts and demand marketing campaigns.
• Leadership / Collaboration:
◦ Works closely with the region marketing leads to gather insights and GTM support requirements that inform the global strategy – includes periodic travel to regions. Also works closely with the platform development team as a key consult to help guide and inform the platform CX and road map by providing relevant persona, market and competitive insights.
A successful candidate will have:
• University degree in Business Administration or Marketing; or equivalent work experience.
• Five plus years brand and product marketing communications strategy development and execution.
• One plus year’s global experience/ assignments.
• Proven track record - clear demonstration of marketing ROI.
• Experience with software based product marketing – preferred asset.
• K20 teaching and learning market experience - preferred
• Strong marketing message development and validation skill set.
• Demonstrated results across range of key marketing tactics – direct sales, emarketing, event marketing, thought leadership, channel marketing, best practice marketing automation.
• Market research skill set – market segmentation, communications and tactics validation.
• Exceptional project management and budget management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write promotional and mktg. copy.
• Team player with strong inter-personal and customer relationship skills.
• People management and development.
• Strong working knowledge of Marketo Marketing automation platform or similar technology.
• Knowledge of SFDC or similar CRM system an asset.
• Graphic Design experience or knowledge would be an asset.
• Extensive working knowledge of MS Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
