JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting with and coordinating the Human Resources policies and programs, including, but not limited to, recruiting, training, and benefit administration.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with recruitment functions, which may include: assisting with new employee paperwork, job postings, pre-employment testing; applicant tracking, minority contact lists and preparation of offer letters
Maintain records and files in accordance with state and federal laws and in compliance with SOX regulations
Process Human Resources paperwork in a timely manner
Collect payroll records, review payroll and summarize hours for corporate payroll processing and verify bi-weekly paychecks and research pay discrepancies
Respond to and route employee questions and concerns
Assist with employee recognition activities
Prepare various reports as required including HRIS data entry
Coordinate and process benefit enrollment and changes for employees
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge:
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to effectively multi task
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate in a clear concise manner
Ability to use personal computer and knowledge of software applications, including but not limited to MS Office, and data base administration.
Ability to work with limited supervision
Basic Knowledge of local, state and federal laws regarding Employment
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Post High School training in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience
BA/BS degree in Human Resources preferred.
Related Work Experience:
0-1 years human resources experience
1 year administrative experience
