Our Clinical Assessments Product Solutions team at Pearson, has an excellent opportunity for a SR Mobile Developer (iOS/Android/Windows) to join our growing team in Menlo Park, CA. Working in a small-team environment, you will have a unique opportunity to play a leading role in designing and developing mobile, web/desktop-based delivery applications for the company’s line of spoken assessment products.
To be successful in this essential role you must have the desire and ability to learn new techniques and share your knowledge. You need to demonstrate a passion for software development, software craftsmanship, and ability to perform in a quick-pace, dynamic work environment! Tremendous growth opportunity!

• Design and develop robust, commercial-quality mobile products and solutions with compelling user interfaces and experiences
• Contribute to our native apps written in Objective-C and Java
• Ensure efficient performance and scalability of all designs and implementations
• Show a desire and ability to learn new techniques and share knowledge in a small-team environment
• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the mobile/web technologies
• Demonstrate a passion for software development and high quality code
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Strong programming skills in Objective C, Java, C/C++
• Solid knowledge in OOP and software design methodologies
• Thorough understanding of architectural and implementation principles for mobile app development
• Good knowledge of web presentation technologies
• Ability to work in a quick paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and graphical
Required Experience:
• Proven native application development experience on multiple mobile platforms - iOS, Android, Windows10
• A track record of developing and delivering refined, interactive mobile and client-side applications
• Published one original mobile app, if not more
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
Additional Plus:
• UI/UX design skills
• Experience working with computer audio including knowledge of audio formats and audio recording systems
• Speech recognition technology, natural language processing
• Experience with server-side technologies and frameworks
• RDBMS, Oracle a definite plus
