SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage projects and change management initiatives for the Global Program Management Organization. This position will use both agile and traditional project management methodologies with a focus on Scaled Agile Framework. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative to effectively work across multiple cross functional groups, while using data to enable sound decision making based on agile and lean principles. This position reports to the Director of Portfolio Governance Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the overall delivery execution planning cadence across program teams
• Refine and maintain planning cadence artifacts including templates and websites using continuous process improvement mindset
• Collaboratively work with finance and program managers on program accounting processes
• Leads change management projects
• Leads cultural development by preserving and enhancing the positive work environment Pearson values
• Communicator of project health and status
• Coordinator across projects when multiple teams are required to solve impediments
• Other duties as assigned by the Director Portfolio Governance Management
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and three plus years of project management experience, including both agile and traditional project management experience. Experience with integration projects required OR equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
