DESCRIPTION:
The Partner Marketing Operations Supervisor will be responsible for managing the programming delivery workflow and partner marketing efforts across Smithsonian Channel’s DTO, SVOD, and Syndication platforms. This role requires knowledge of the digital distribution landscape and an understanding of the operational needs of our current partners. This role will ultimately oversee all operational and marketing support for programming across 3rd party digital distributors and be responsible for the quality of deliverables of Smithsonian Channel content on those platforms.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of programming delivery (rights clearance, scheduling, metadata, playlist set up, artwork requests) across DTO, SVOD, Syndication, and Podcast platforms.
• Work closely with Director of Digital Marketing and Partnerships to manage promotional asset requests on DTO, SVOD, Syndication, Podcast, and connected TV platforms to ensure ongoing and consistent support for Smithsonian Channel content.
• QA distributor platforms to ensure that programs are properly priced and that key art, thumbnails, and video files are correct.
• Create and manage DTO release calendar and work with Director of Digital Marketing and Partnerships to develop selling points for upcoming launches.
• Field partner inquiries, including pricing, licensing, collections, and availability dates.
• Actively participate and ultimately run partner update meetings, identifying upcoming key launches and promotional opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal Showtime Ops and Smithsonian Channel Editorial teams to effectively communicate upcoming DTO availability.
• Develop competitive tracking on pricing, placement, windows, versions, etc. and summarize highlights into monthly reports.
• Assist in analyzing DTO performance by tracking partner marketing support and generating download and revenue reports.
• Lead onboarding process of Smithsonian Channel on new DTO and SVOD platforms.
• Additional digital media projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 3 years experience in digital media operations, distribution, or marketing.
• Solid understanding of the current digital distribution landscape and key partnerships.
• Knowledge of various video, audio, and other asset file types.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Motivated team player, proactive with initiative.
• Ability to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing with department heads, managers, coworkers and partners to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously and setting priorities with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of iTunesConnect preferred, not required.
