Responsible for leading, managing, and developing an Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) team and implementing the strategic vision to leverage data, information and tools/applications for optimal business processing and critical decision making. Drives change transformation and strategy execution to achieve specific business results. Creates business strategy to focus on strengths, competitive advantage, and differentiation to support the overall vision of the EBI department. Incorporates broad knowledge to address complex, unusual, and critical issues. Develops long-term plans that impact the achievement of business results. Recognizes profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities. Has direct involvement in business case development, project management and performance measurement. Demonstrates leadership versatility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Drives operational excellence through standardization of agreed upon best practices. Drives out defects and ensures processes are in place to positively impact customer experience.
• Leads internal and external program teams for scheduled product rollout creating requirements documents, obtaining signoff, managing risks, and documenting new and changed processes.
• Develops business requirements, assesses current reporting capabilities, and makes recommendations for improvement. Researches new technologies related to BI and makes recommendations or leads implementation of new systems.
• Drives the technical production processes, infrastructure, monitoring and tools for project delivery.
• Creates actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
• Identifies possible conflicts with the strategy and recommends cost effective alternatives.
• Measures effectiveness of improvements through deep analysis of data on performance metrics striving for cost effective high quality improvements.
• Carries out post-event analysis to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with the change.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provides leadership to the cross-functional resources within the operations of the BI Center of Excellence (COE).
• Manages migration of LOBs and domains into the new BI operating model including people, process and technology.
• Oversees development of demand and delivery management processes in support of BI Center of Excellence.
• Defines the information, reporting, and analytical needs of the Company. Develops goals, strategies, and plans needed to achieve the vision.
• Works with Finance to identify, define and develop key metrics and management processes that drive business performance across Divisions.
• Facilitates leaders to meet system goals and projects. Promotes transparent communication among management team.
• Proactively identifies new BI capabilities, services and capacity required to support the BI value proposition
• Creates and manages supporting and related business intelligence processes.
• Works with business to evaluate, identify and prioritize BI implementations and upgrades
• Creates, evaluates, and analyzes proposals for new business ideas.
• Manages development of BI business case and value proposition within the Division and domains. Evaluates new techniques and approves expenditures.
• Prepares and reviews system budgets.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
• Engineering, Operations Management, Quality, Finance/Business, Computer Science, Information Technology-related degrees preferred
• Generally requires 14+ years related experience
