Position: Coordinator – Corporate Communications, Bell Media
Location : 1800 McGill College Ave., Suite 2700, Montréal
Salary: Proportional to skills and experience
Working hours: 40 hours per week with overtime, as needed.
Main responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications & Community Investment, the Coordinator works within a small and energetic team, and ensures the proper management of all of Bell Media’s internal and external communications as well as its partnerships. The Coordinator’s key duties are as follows:
• Assist in the writing, proofreading, and translation of internal and external communications (notes to staff, notes to the senior leadership team, press releases, appointment announcements, key messages, etc.)
• Assist internal teams with writing assignments to communicate timely information to employees (HR, Finance, IT, etc.)
• Supervise the internal media clippings for Bell Media’s French and English language properties.
• Assist the management team in monitoring media outlets, as needed
• Take part in planning internal and external corporate events
• Assist in maintaining and updating the corporate websites (content, press releases, images, etc.)
• Publish messages on the company’s social media accounts, such as Twitter and Facebook
• Assist in managing corporate partnerships (media plans, campaign reports)
• Conduct research and market comparisons, as needed
Requirements:
• Able to communicate in French and English, both orally and in writing, with strong French writing skills being a core requirement
• At least two years’ experience in the public relations / communications industry (preferably in corporate communications)
• Post-secondary education (preferably in journalism, communications or public relations)
• Strong writing and proofreading skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Interest in news, public affairs, and the media industry
• Excellent multitasking abilities
• Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Able to adapt to a dynamic environment
• Excellent time management skills
Bilingualism is required (English and French)
