This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation, activities and functions of the Human Resources Department including input on the HR portion of the overall business strategy involving recruitment, labor and employee relations, benefits, training, development and Workers’ Compensation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Administers human resources policies, programs, and practices
•Manages recruitment process including interviewing, hiring, applicant processing
•Represents Company at external Job Fairs, networking, and speaking engagements
•Conducts new hire orientation and training for employees
•Oversees compensation program and makes recommendations to senior management on payroll adjustments, bonuses, etc.
•Ensures all payroll adjustments, bonuses, etc. are accurately processed in a timely manner and according to contract terms
•Oversees or processes payroll for union and non-union hourly employees
•Oversees the maintenance of personnel/medical files, I-9 and background check files
•Builds solid relationships with Directors and Managers at all levels
•Advises Managers on effective coaching and counseling and assists with conflict resolution documentation and delivery of corrective action
•Prepares all necessary termination paperwork and ensures HR has representation in termination meetings
•Ensures compliance with federal, state and local labor laws to reduce potential for litigation
•Maintains a presence with employees by attending pre-shift and department meetings as well as events
•Oversees and makes recommendations for the performance review process
•Oversees preparation and maintenance of job descriptions
•Assists with provision of information required for labor negotiations and union grievances
•Processes and monitors Unemployment and Workers’ Compensation claims attending hearings as necessary
•Responds to claims filed by City, State and Federal Agencies such as EEOC and Wage and Hour
•Oversees administration of Internship Program
•Oversees the planning and coordination of employee communications, events and recognition programs
•Develops and manages HR budget
•Undertakes special projects as required by General Manager and AEG Corporate
•Develops, integrates, and compiles diversity strategies, goals, and reporting.

•Prior supervisory experience preferred with aptitude for mentoring and developing staff
•Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
EDUCATION
•BA preferably in Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Communications
EXPERIENCE
•A minimum of 3-5 years human resources experience
•Experience in the sports and/or entertainment industry preferred
