Purpose of the role:
This role will manage operations and products supporting Nature Research Group Institutional and Corporate Partnerships Sales team and Marketing team with the fulfillment of its project tasks for advertising, sponsorship and supplements ensuring innovation of operational processes and sales growth for the company in China.
Need to do
Key tasks:
• Work closely with the sales team to prioritise and ensure the delivery of display/classified advertising, custom/packaged projects and supplement projects which solve customer problems, enhance the customer journey and/or meet the needs of the business.
• Establish and maintain strong working relationship with cross functional teams (i.e. Nature Research Group Institutional and Corporate Partnerships Sales team, marketing team, product team and editorial team), central services and individuals representing Nature Research Group requirements throughout Nature Research Group and Springer Nature.
• Be a relentless customer advocate for both internal & external clients with a focus on delivering world-class user experiences.
• Work with the global Nature Research Group Marketing & Sales Operations team and Nature Research Group marketing & Ops teams to share expertise for digital trends and best practice within local teams.
• Act on issues and obstacles throughout project life cycle in a timely fashion to minimize any impact;
• Manage vendor relationships as required.
Sales Project Management– assuming the role of main point of contact for internal and external project stakeholders once contracts have been signed and returned to the NRG Commercial Sales Team members. This includes the following project administration responsibilities:
• Internal liaison with:
◦ NRG Commercial Sales Representatives – assisting with queries relating to non-sales project deliverables; managing project announcements to internal and external stakeholders as applicable; developing project plans to ensure successful project completion.
◦ Publishing teams - confirming Client details, project requirements and timetabling etc. and manage adjustments as necessary.
◦ Marketing - ensuring that marketing have all the relevant project details so all project components are organised and planned in a timely manner (e.g. conference distributions etc.).
◦ Print Production - including completion of the final print production order form and establishing schedule dates with the print production team.
◦ Web Publishing – liaising with aforementioned team relative to copy and staging page.
◦ Finance – liaising with Accounts, Sales Reporting & Analysis team and Publishers as required; coordinating revenue and profit allocation as required.
• External liaison with Clients:
◦ Introduction as Project Manager
◦ Liaison regarding copy deadlines
◦ Copy chasing
◦ Proofing copy back to Clients for feedback/sign-off
◦ Supplying all final copy to internal departments
◦ Responding to questions and queries in a timely manner
Customer Relationship management:
• Manage clients’ expectations and involve client and other partners in its sales program design process as required.
• Maintain a good relationship with the clients, the vendors and the sales agents and manage our customers’ expectations.
Marketing tools and technology:
• Work with the global Nature Research Group Technology & Sales Operations team and Nature Research Group marketing & Ops teams to share expertise for digital trends and best practice within local teams.

Need to know
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or above in Business, IT, Engineering, or relevant fields;
• Qualification in project management or equivalent;
Skills/knowledge:
• Direct work experience in project management capacity
• The ability to manage projects to completion
• Excellent organization and communication skills with good attention to detail
• Proficiency in the use of standard office software; familiarity with project management tools and/or software
• Demonstrated skills to digest complex information; prioritize and effectively communicate at all levels
• Working experience in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Flexibility to rapidly adapt new concepts; respond to changes in environment and priorities
• Ability to work to tight and variable deadlines under pressure
• Good English and native Mandarin language skills both spoken and written are required
Experience:
• 2+ year work experience as a project manager or equivalent position
• Experience in STM publishing and/or related industry highly desirable
• Experience sales and marketing is beneficial
