Summary:
Responsible for developing and executing the operation's goals, strategies, and objectives of the Information Technology department. Responsible for system development, managing internal and external resources, consults with business partners on IT needs; develops and implements strategies to accomplish the Company's Information Technology vision for the future. Understands the business requirements and aligns with both the technology and operating model for the department. Supports all aspects of developing the Information Technology team(s). Provides leadership and direction for team which includes multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategy for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget.
Core Responsibilities:
-Manage a DevOps team including application and system development, while remaining very hands-on with development process.
-Responsible for Systems and datacenter operations, Application Development resources and Project Management function.
-Responsible for Software Development Life-Cycle and project management for technology projects from initial design through execution.
-Develops short-term and long-term strategies to meet departmental and overall IT goals.
-Develops IT budgets and directs the research of IT needs across all departments. Evaluates needs and requests purchase orders.
-Researches and recommends new and emerging technologies and services that will enhance Comcast's overall business performance.
-Consults with business departments and key executives on IT needs. Develops projects and initiatives and ensures satisfactory completion to department standards.
-Be the executive escalation point within the business unit for all IT needs.
-Mentors and leads department; oversees all functions and programs to ensure performance standards are conducive to Company standards and all goals and objectives are met in a timely and organized fashion.
-Manages and conducts departmental performance reviews. Builds, mentors, and motivates staff for optimal work performance.
-Provides day-to-day operational support of our internal customers/end users. Actively manage and lead the Infrastructure functions (Service Desk, Service Management, Desktop, Network, Telephony, Hosting, Systems Administration, Disaster Recovery etc.) across sites and services.
-Plan, implement and monitor changes in infrastructure and application configurations.
-Manage hardware and software vendor relationships.
-Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
-Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Specification:
-Bachelors Degree or Equivalent inInformation Sciences, Technology
-DevOps/ Software Development expereince
-10+ years in Infrastructure/ Datacenter Management roles
-5+ years as a Technical Project Manager and Leader
-Experience in large organizations and multisite operations
-Experience with full-service software development process (SDLC) and both local and remote (offshore) teams.
Value AddExperience:
-Experience with third party infrastructure and service providers such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services
-Experience in Services industries or mission critical IT environment
