Job Purpose
The Sales Representative will manage and grow sales of print and digital products, technology solutions, assessment and testing services as well as teacher training and professional development packages to schools and education departments in the region.

Key Responsibilities
• Building excellent relationships with teachers, principals, school administrators, education officials and third party resellers that deliver value for the end customer and Pearson.
• Closing new and maintaining existing business.
• Demonstrating the feature advantages and benefits of Pearson’s range of products, platforms and services.
• Understanding the South African school environment, course structures and recommending appropriate solutions to customers.
• Planning, analysing and tracking performance.
• Ensuring that leads are qualified, followed up and closed.
• Keeping abreast of competitor activity.

Experience
• Proven track record in solution selling; preferably education publishing.
• Product and market knowledge within product areas concerned.
• Minimum of two years sales and marketing experience preferably gained within the education environment.
• A keen interest in technology and digital applications.
Key Requirement
A valid driver’s license and a reliable car.
