The Senior Director of Digital & Social Marketing is responsible for creating a signature digital experience for the Spectrum Enterprise Brand leveraging their deep marketing experience to drive awareness and engagement through the use of digital and social channels. The Senior Director will provide the vision and strategy to guide a team of talented strategists, writers and designers toward a best of breed digital and social experience integrating paid, owned, earned activities throughout the digital funnel. This individual will implement digital best practices and serve as key evangelist across the Enterprise segment to adopt and optimize digital and social methodologies.The Senior Director will advance and evolve the social media marketing function and influencer tactics as a critical component across all integrated marketing activities such as product announcements, events, and press activities.
Specifically, the Senior Director will be responsible for the following:
• Establish data-driven approach to inform and build overall digital and social strategy and increase engagement. Implementing A/B testing, SEO, content and copy changes and conversion tactics to optimize performance.
• Define and lead company-wide website editorial strategy including ideation and planning of content/editorial calendars across platform
• Leverage strong cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to establish sound processes.
• Create and oversee execution of digital and social content strategies that tell a consistent and compelling story by improving brand awareness, recognition, favorability and growth objectives across key audiences;
• Develop and manage the Digital Marketing budget, maximizing spend and ROI to achieve goals.
• Shape social media and digital campaigns with competitive and industry analysis and measurement frameworks; Set and analyze campaign metrics (KPIs) to measure success of initiatives and adjust in response to results.
• Navigate matrixed organizational structures, negotiate buy-in across diverse groups of stakeholders and diplomatically challenge the status quo while building strong collaborative relationships.
Requirements
• The successful candidate is a seasoned marketer within technology or telecom industries in the enterprise segment. Successful candidate will have B2B experience across numerous marketing disciplines (including demand generation and supporting digital funnels), and in all channels of digital marketing (web, mobile, social and targeted messaging and content creation/marketing).
• Must understand how to build digital experiences across buyers’ journeys, determine customer requirements, guide development of concepts, and lead creative teams. Must have already implemented digital content marketing methods, and be experienced interpreting digital and social analytics
• Familiarity with “design thinking.” Requires deep digital background with understanding of conversion techniques, A/B testing for page optimization and SEO.
• The Senior Director of Digital and Social Strategy will have experience managing and optimizing large websites and with digital campaigns, product announcements
• Demonstrated fluency and experience in an agile marketing environment, to foster digitally-savvy culture across the broader organization.
• Solid record of developing and executing successful large-scale campaigns/products/initiatives and social media campaigns with measurable results. Has applied agile marketing methods to digital and social teams (scrums / squads / rapid time to market technics)
Preferred Qualifications
• The successful candidate must possess at least 15+ years marketing experience, with min. 6 years in the B2B technology space; 8 years in a leadership capacity.
• Career focus on marketing with specialty in digital and social.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, MS Office
• Must be comfortable presenting to senior executives and in creating digital and social strategies and plans
• Must have experience managing outsourced agencies, vendors and distributed teams. A proven leader in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment is a plus.
• Highly organized and self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills; proven experience hiring, managing and motivating a team. Candidate will be experienced working with all levels of cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration among peers and direct reports while achieving business objectives.
