Analyst, Customer Operations
The Customer Operations Analyst is responsible for effectively working to optimize inventory and in-store execution on behalf SPHE’s retail customers.
For Merchandising, the COA will coordinate with third party merchandising companies to plan effective in-store merchandising strategies to support SPHE sales programs. This includes creating an annual merchandising budget based on forecasted visit requirements, creating merchandising visit instructions, tracking vendor compliance, resolving any in-store service issues, and championing strategic merchandising projects.
For VMI, the COA will direct a third-party vendor (SONY GPS) for all transactional VMI activities such as planogram changes, order management, POS forecasting, and inventory management. The COA will be the primary point of contact for SPHE Sales, Retailers, and Third-Party Partners. The COA will generate effective and compelling analyses that will lead to increased profitability and reduced costs.
Core Responsibilities
VMI/Merchandising Responsibilities
• Coordinate with internal SPHE groups, retailers, and DADC in order to provide Sony GPS/Silkroute with elements required to effectively manage VMI accounts
• Drive Sony GPS/Silkroute to meet established KPI’s and SLA’s
• Worked closely with retail customers to ensure that their orders and inventory is managed effectively
• Work with sales and sales planning to ensure that customer planograms and assortments are accurate and managed effectively and efficiently
• Drive optimal replenishment for all product segments (NR Initial Ship, NR Replenishment, Promotional, Catalog)
• Coordinate planogram and assortment change-outs and resets
• Analyze inventory levels and proactively provide inventory pull-down suggestions
• Coordinate in-store merchandising service with third-party Merchandising companies (project visit frequency, generate survey questions, develop merchandising budget, and drive compliance via reporting tools)
• Participate in weekly account performance meetings to drive continual improvement
• Dissect operational metrics and drive operational improvement via meaningful analysis of available data
• Prepare and present compelling and actionable analysis that can be shared with customers, internal partners, and third-party vendors
Process & System Enhancement
• Assists with the development of processes, system enhancements, and reports (e.g., Key Performance Indicators (KPI), statistical and trends reports) to facilitate execution of responsibilities
Job Requirements
Education
: BA/BS in Business, Finance, Economics or related field; or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience preferred in a VMI, production forecasting, or a planning role with a particular emphasis on production planning, replenishment, inventory planning, analysis, and data modeling
• Experience in consumer goods, wholesale, retail, or manufacturing environment is preferred
• Familiarity with planogramming, product assortment, and implementing and/or designing statistical metrics
• Demand analyst or inventory planning experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio)
• Strong Excel skills required
• Replenishment, Demand Planning and/or procurement system experience preferred
