ABOUT US:
Established in 2007, CBS Films is a multifaceted studio handling the development, financing, production and marketing of theatrical motion pictures. CBS Films currently plans to release four to six movies a year spanning all genres and will oversee their global distribution with partners while self-distributing the titles theatrically in the United States. The studio has released more than a dozen films including "The Mechanic," "Beastly," "The Woman in Black," "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," "Seven Psychopaths," The Kings of Summer," "The To Do List," "Last Vegas" and "Inside Llewyn Davis" to date. CBS Films upcoming release includes LOVE THE COOPERS which follows the Cooper clan as four generations of extended family come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration. Release date: Nov. 13, 2015.
DESCRIPTION:
• Assist the Executive Vice President of Publicity and Promotions by overseeing calendar, setting meetings/calls, arranging travel, submitting expense reports
• Oversee the design and creation of pitch kits, one pagers, and lookbooks to be pitched out to press for coverage consideration.
*Pitch broadcast, print, radio and online press for coverage tied to set visits, press days/junkets, and premieres
*Create targeted pitch lists and brainstorm creative pitches to secure talent offers for broadcast, print, and radio
*Help to oversee press, word of mouth, private, guild and promo screenings by booking screening rooms, submitting print requests, hiring security, arranging tech checks, creating invites, managing RSVP lists, maintaining and sending out reaction memo.
*Responsible for compiling and distributing screening reports for all field screenings. Work directly with the field to get all relevant information.
*Responsible for the creation and design of our overall marketing decks for filmmaker meetings. This includes coordination with all of marketing to get the most up to date information for their slides, compilation and layout of each slide, and printing/binding of the decks.
*Handle the finalizing of the production notes for all films by re-formatting, adding a cover page and end credits, making sure all grammar is correct and consistent, and getting final signoff from legal. Then responsible for making sure the notes are printed and shipped to the field and national agencies for all screenings and also added to the press site.
*Oversee all publicity sites including CBSFilmsPublicity.com, Publicity Reporting Online (PRO), Daily Buzz and EPK.TV. Responsible for delivering materials such as production notes, photos, clips, featurettes, trailers and other assets for these sites as well as organizing e-blasts to promote new materials
*Maintain and distribute our clip chart to our marketing department to ensure all are aware of EPK dates and talk show airdates. Work with our digital team on timing of all clip and featurette debut plans. Also work on clip delivery directly to talk show producers for use on-air.
*Compile, track and distribute publicity breaks and reviews. Oversee maintenance of the national publicity chart and the overall review chart.
*Oversee the publicity budget and processing of all invoices for national and regional publicity campaigns. Also responsible for adding new vendors, filling out check requests, and ensure vendors are paid on time.
*Responsible for pulling quotes for use in creative including TV spots, one sheets, standees, etc.
*Maintain and distribute marketing calendars that track all relevant dates for national, regional, and digital publicity, exhibitor relations, media and creative efforts
*Assist with press junkets and premieres by working directly with hotels, catering, vendors, and creating press lists, talent scheduling, booking travel, and handling talent
*Liaise with our film partners to keep them updated on campaign beats and important dates
*Work directly with legal to draft contracts for all publicity and awards consultants. Ensure that contracts are renewed as needed.
*Handle talent at publicity events including premiere, festivals, junkets, press days, screenings/Q&As
*Create and distribute film documents and charts such as contact sheets, photo ID sheets, one pagers, talent bibles, press lists, talent schedules, junket nominations, staffing docs, and screening reports
*Work as part of the in-house awards team by submitting applications, setting screenings, and sending out screeners and materials
• Hire and supervise interns each semester - assign and assess projects, track their progress, evaluate at end of term
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 2 years assistant experience required.
