BestProducts.com is seeking a social media editor to establish and grow its new local Facebook pages in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Set in six separate major cities, BEST will be targeting a specific subset of people with video and content. The social media editor will be responsible for getting into the minds of their audience, managing the video rollout schedule, and embracing the voice and vibe of LA/SF. The editor will monitor news and trends in their specific locales, analyze metrics daily, and work with the video producers and editors to replicate successes for fast-tracked growth. Posts to Facebook must reflect the BestProducts.com voice and enhance the brand’s social presence.
We’re seeking a rock-star of sorts that can bring these new Facebook pages from infancy to influencer. Candidate should feel comfortable finding ideas for the producers to film, writing/editing content, creating memes, analyzing trends, and creating actionable reports.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the social feed for LA/SF
• Write actionable and timely posts to increase engagement
• Track external world/local trends to tie back to BestProducts.com
• Provide strategic recommendations for video content creation
• Analyze data for the ultimate posting schedule
• Interact with the Facebook Audience to increase reach
• Develop a deep understanding of the follower’s content consumption habits
• Identify and pursue partnerships with people, talent, and events
• Work solo and in partnership with internal teams
Requirements:
• 2+ years professional experience in social media is required
• Background in real-time information
• Proven track record of growing a Facebook page
• Creative thinker and innovator with an acute eye for engaging visual storytelling
• Obsessive knowledge of the digital video landscape and keen understanding of the competition
• Ability to collaborate and foster positive relationships with colleagues
• Positive attitude and team player mentality is a must
• Experience editing video is a plus
• Established communication and organizational skills
