We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our ad sales team. The ability to ideate, create and innovate collaboratively with our clients, generating a positive revenue or share growth across Bloomberg media is critical. In this role you be responsible for managing existing "core accounts" specifically within radio ad sales and continuous development of new business accounts. This role will be specific to the tri-state area and you will have the opportunity to sell outside of radio (digital, TV, print). Daily you will be working with our clients, but you will also involve work with planners and account teams at agencies regularly.
You will be responsible for the sales process from A-Z. This includes, prospecting, cold calling, pitching and setting follow up appointments with senior level marketing executives. You will be implementing programs and provide weekly updates/status reports on how things are going.
We will trust you to:
• Manage and grow a list of existing core Bloomberg Radio accounts
• Developing new business
• Continuous prospecting, cold calling and setting meetings with senior marketing executives at the client level
• Working with agencies, particularly planning and account teams
• Providing weekly updates on the number of prospects, new business meetings and pending sales
• Continuous follow up with current and prospective clients before and after the sale occurs
You need to have:
• 5+ years of recent and relevant media ad sales experience, ideally with a radio and digital background
• Strong track record of developing new business
• Proven experience working directly with senior marketing executives at the client level
• The ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Technical capability, specifically using PowerPoint, Excel & Salesforce.
