In this job you will:
• Complete the following reports: postal, service error, subscriber start – stop, draw changes, routing changes, partner invoicing, bond payments and all other essential reports.
• Ensure carrier contracts are processed in addition to billing invoices, processing press orders, fulfilling poly-bag orders and maintaining the poly-bag inventory, processing partner credits and generating monthly billing statement for a major account.
• Support distribution department efforts by responding to customer service issues through phone and e-mail correspondence and resolve subscriber issues.
• Assists with mail returned from lockbox and handling responses to customer inquiries
• Creates reports, letters, tables, graphs, presentations, etc.
• Creates, sets up and maintains alphabetical and numerical filing systems, screens and refers calls, arranges meetings and conferences, and receives, refers and/or answers mail.
• Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, travel itineraries, and coordinates related arrangements.
• Handles and/or coordinates regular administrative activities and/or special projects/tasks.
• Communicates and coordinates activities within the department and resolves routine problems.
• May monitor, order and maintain department supplies.
• May research and gather information, compile and summarize data and compose letters and other correspondence.
• May participate in planning functions and assist in the budgeting process.
• May input time worked for the department.
• Performs general clerical duties.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

• Ability to update and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
• Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and maintain confidential information.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple tasks under the pressure of deadlines.
• Strong punctuation, proofreading and grammatical skills.
• Knowledge of customer service functions.

Education/Experience:
• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred
• Previous experience in a newspaper setting is preferred
• Comparable education and experience will be considered
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
