VML is looking for a Senior Social Strategist to join the team. This person must be passionate and fluent in social media marketing solutions and value a collaborative environment. He/She will assume a key role in the refinement of that social evolution. Mobile experience is a plus.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and support social marketing strategies that deliver on performance results and client business objectives
• Educate client and internal teams on social and marketing channel value, best practices and ongoing evolution implications
• Support client with emphasis on social (and mobile) marketing opportunities
• Work with activation teams (TV, Audio, Print, OOH, Digital, Sports and Entertainment) to socialize all media; must have knowledge of how all media can be enhanced by social amplification
• Deliver agency social POVs
• Lead the client with a vision for how social media should evolve
• Maintain knowledge of key social media tools, best practices and emerging trends, including:
◦ Platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
◦ Management tools (Vitrue, Buddy Media, etc.)
◦ Digital monitoring (Visible Technologies, Radian6, etc.)
◦ Social media activation (paid, earned and owned)
◦ Social media measurement/analytics
• Develop/Maintain knowledge of mobile landscape, marketing tactics and trends, including
◦ Tactics: mobile email, mobile search, SMS marketing, QR codes, mobile website optimization, etc.
◦ Trends: mobile commerce, social/mobile integration, etc.
◦ Operating systems: iOS and Android ecosystem offerings

Required Skills:
• Solid understanding of paid, earned and owned media integration as it relates to social media programs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fortitude to stay calm under pressure
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
Required Experience:
• Six-plus years of experience in a digital marketing environment
• Deep social media expertise with experience in driving social media strategy and executing social media programs
• Specific hands-on experience with social and mobile marketing channels
• CPG experience is a plus
• Global marketing experience is a plus
