ABOUT US:
Established in 2007, CBS Films is a multifaceted studio handling the development, financing, production and marketing of theatrical motion pictures. CBS Films currently plans to release four to six movies a year spanning all genres and will oversee their global distribution with partners while self-distributing the titles theatrically in the United States. The studio has released more than a dozen films including "The Mechanic," "Beastly," "The Woman in Black," "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," "Seven Psychopaths," The Kings of Summer," "The To Do List," "Last Vegas" and "Inside Llewyn Davis" to date. CBS Films upcoming release includes LOVE THE COOPERS which follows the Cooper clan as four generations of extended family come together for their annual Christmas Eve celebration. Release date: Nov. 13, 2015.
DESCRIPTION:
Intern Duties: Assist with daily press clippings and publicity tracking charts, brainstorm publicity pitches/stunts/event ideas for current and future releases, complete weekly entertainment news recaps for the department (includes researching current events, breaking news etc. via trades and other publications), assisting with all publicity documents (status reports, talent bibles, contact sheets, press lists), research and create report on promo partners for films opening each week, assist with preparing for events and screenings which may include attending and working the events at hand, administrative work (answering and connecting calls, filing, etc.) and other publicity/promotional projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Currently enrolled in an accredited university or college. Must be committed to pursuing a career in PR/publicity/communications. Familiarity with CBS programming, the industry, our talent, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC computers. Fluent in English (able to write, read, transcribe, etc. at a professional level. Must have professional demeanor (on the phone, in the office, dealing with executives or talent), good communications skills and discretion. Must be enthusiastic and passionate about the company and about the field - we want someone who wants to be here. Willing to do any task as they come up. Able to both take direction and work independently. Willing to be proactive and take advantage of your time here. Able to work under pressure and on a deadline.
