DESCRIPTION:
The Media Relations & Publicity department is seeking interns to work closely with management while being involved with and exposed to the following tasks:
• Collect and review internet, print and social media clips daily
• Assist in development of relevant press materials
• Organize trade publications, magazines, newspapers
• Answer phones while maintaining proper phone etiquette
• Assist with publicity events
Coordinate special projects (i.e. show milestones; parties/celebrations)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Strong interest in public relations, media and television
• Strong computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Ability to interact with executives and television personalities
• Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and excellent communicative skills
• Motivated individuals that work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Looking for a candidate whom is extremely organized and can keep up in a fast-paced, breaking news environment. Must have strong attention to detail skills and be able to keep up with strict deadlines.
