The AEG owned and operated arena continues to distinguish itself as the host of major, high-profile events of national and international distinction including the 2004 & 2011 NBA All-Star Games, 2002 NHL All-Star Game, 2000 Democratic National Convention, 2009 World Figure Skating Championships and 15 of the last 16 GRAMMY Awards shows. STAPLES Center’s fifteen years have also been marked with performances and special events that brought international stature to the downtown Los Angeles venue including concerts by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band (who played the arena’s first-ever public event on October 17, 1999), Mana, Prince, U2, Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Usher, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Roger Waters, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Katy Perry, Sade and Justin Timberlake, as well as world championship boxing, family shows and special events. Hosting over 250 events a year, the arena’s reputation for world-class amenities, features and commitment to quality of service and the guest experience is second to none. Staples, Inc. entered into a 20-year agreement to become the arena’s Naming Rights Partner December 1, 1998, which has since been extended into perpetuity.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Database & Analytics Analyst will assist the STAPLES Center and Microsoft Theater Marketing and Communications Department with conducting research and performing data analytics on sales and buying trends, email marketing campaigns, and target marketing initiative and events.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee reporting system which analyzes and tracks sales, buying trends, engagement, open rates on STAPLES Center and Microsoft Theater’s databases, emails, websites, social media platforms
• Develop and deploy email campaigns and communications promoting events, traffic email requests from other AEG departments, implement list segmentation strategies necessary for targeted email campaigns
• Conduct key research and perform analysis that leads to actionable recommendations for different functional areas of the business
• Work across all departments (Premium Seating, Event Suites, L.A. LIVE) in order to create an effective email marketing plan / calendar which includes: collecting and processes requests as it pertains to deploying emails marketing campaigns; determine appropriate audience for target marketing initiatives
• Create, maintain and manage all marketing recaps (project files) for STAPLES Center and Microsoft Theater events
• Responsible for overseeing media needs during events at STAPLES Center and Microsoft Theater events
• Daily office assistance including but not limited to answering phones, mail and Fed Ex pick and sending, filing, organizing supplies and storage areas.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Mathematics or analytics focus
• 2-4 years of data analytics with a strong interest in music, sports and live entertainment industry
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, outside agencies, organizations, and vendors with a strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent Presentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with other departments/ organization.
• Self-starter, strong organizations skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• CRM experience required/Microsoft Dynamics experience is preferred
• Highly Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and must be attentive to details.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
