Reporting to the Director of Marketing, The Marketing Manager will focus primarily on Sponsorship/Membership recruitment. The Manager, Marketing will also be responsible for the venue’s social media efforts and digital marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Improve Valley View Casino Center’s brand awareness by developing and executing social media marketing strategies. Monitor and track social media marketing, internet statistics and media coverage.
• Oversee all digital marketing programs including internal/external marquee signage, concourse signage, email marketing and social media
• Manage venue and ticketing websites – work with box office manager/director to coordinate ticketing efforts.
• Partner with the Marketing Director in the development of sales strategies and fulfillment for venue sponsorships and memberships
• Lead internal and external venue communications initiatives in conjunction with the Corporate PR Department.
• Direct point of contact with media (i.e. Radio stations, local news stations, etc). Work with the media to coordinate their participation at events. Responsible for compiling comprehensive information about the company to provide to the media.
• Manage the venue internship program
• Manage the photo and video libraries
• Develop and create marketing decks for sponsor prospects, assist tour promoters in the creation of promotional pieces and ensure all event and sponsor artwork is up to date on all venue assets
• Other duties as assigned by General Manager and/or Marketing Director
Qualifications:
• A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Marketing or Communications
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of related work experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facility
• Proven experience marketing, media buying, promotions, sponsorship management, Public Relations, website and social network maintenance
• Sponsorship Sales/Relationship Building experience preferred.
• Live event or sports industry experience preferred
• Managerial experience with ability to lead and represent the Marketing Department
• Creative thinking, strong initiative, and verbal presentation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Self-starter, strong organizational and project management skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Power Point, Word, Excel, Photoshop, illustrator, and web research strategies.
• Proficient in social platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
