Overview and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
• Develop social campaigns aimed at growing audiences, increasing engagement, and driving company and client goals.
• Drive social media ideation towards client pitch development.
• Develop and manage innovative commercial social media stunts that serve Viacom clients.
• Carry out execution of social media commercial strategies and promotions (ie. paid social campaigns and activities) from start to finish (strategy, inventory planning, execution, reporting).
• Monitor the latest trends in social media, including advertising formats, channels and technologies in order to improve campaign performance and provide recommendations on how clients can best leverage new tools and services.
• Work closely with brand teams to develop, communicate and execute sponsorship opportunities around our digital/social content offerings and influencer campaigns.
• Seek out social-based talent and influencers for possible collaborations and ongoing creative development in support of client goals and objectives.
• Support brand campaigns in the lead up and during live tentpole events on social platforms across our brand portfolio.
• Develop working relationships with internal partners as well as external social platforms.
• Create and update relevant documentation for social media best practices as they relate to Velocity International.
• Work with the research team to develop performance benchmarks and goals and develop insights to inform future efforts internally and for our clients.
• Identify and develop new business and sales opportunities in the social and digital editorial space to better monetize engaged brand audiences.
• Work with wider organization to audit measurement and listening tools annually and provide recommendations for optimization.
• Analyze campaigns and pull together social reports as needed.
• Ensure efforts consider localization for our markets.
Basic Qualifications
• BA required
• Candidate must have at least three years of experience in social media, paid social experience a plus
• Expert user and intimate familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, and subtleties of each
Additional Qualifications
• Self-starter and creative thinker who can contribute out-of-the-box ideas and strategies
• Experienced user of major social publishing, reporting, and listening tools (ex. Omniture, Facebook Insights, YouTube Insights, Google Analytics, etc.)
• Experience with Youtube CMS and ContentID
• Experience developing campaigns that drive engagement in social media from inception to execution
• Proficient in social media content creation (both static and motion), up to date on trends and the latest content types being created in the social / entertainment industry space
• The candidate should be highly organized and comfortable juggling many projects at once while meeting tight deadlines
• A calm and diplomatic approach to working with multiple cultures and personalities, particularly in times of stress
• Experience in an international environment
• Able to speak another language an advantage
