Intern - Advertising Digital Sales Support
Experience the fast-paced world of advertising sales first hand! The Times Herald, Part of the USA Today Network, affiliated with Michigan.com, Michigan’s Largest Media Marketing Company, which includes the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News, seeks an Advertising Digital Sales Support Intern to work at our Port Huron location.
The Advertising Digital Sales Support Intern will represent the company in a sales support capacity, engaging and supporting clients through in-person calls or through a telephone based relationship. This is a developmental position for college students interested in pursuing a career in Advertising Media Sales Support You will also provide administrative support to the sales organization, utilizing deep understanding of the company's multimedia solutions.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the media advertising process working closely with our territory accounts sales teams. A candidate for this position should be an excellent written and spoken communicator, possess digital/social media acumen, have effective phone and clerical skills, efficient time management skills, be proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint and possess the ability to do quality work under intense deadlines.
This is a paid internship. Previous digital sales or advertising internships or experience is helpful but not required. Candidates must be at least a junior status in order to be taken into consideration. The internship is expected to last approx. 6 months, working approx. 30-40 hours per week. The Times Herald will offer training and development opportunities throughout the internship period.
