Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc. (“AEG”) is a subsidiary of The Anschutz Company and one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world. Center in Southern California, several sports franchises including the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS) and AEG LIVE, one of the world's leading concert promotions and touring companies. AEG is also currently overseeing the development of L.A. LIVE, 4 million sq. ft. downtown L.A. sports, residential and entertainment district.
The Amgen Tour of California Road Team Brand Ambassador will travel in advance and during race week to host cities and surrounding areas to attend strategic endurance and healthy lifestyle events to generate awareness, engagement and activation.
The Road Team Brand Ambassador is a part time position, representing the Amgen Tour of California organization at various events and appearances throughout the community, with particular emphasis on grassroots mobile marketing, fan development, and community/non-profit events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Manage spectator experiences including the prize wheel and branded asset giveaways, fan photo booth, and bean bag toss game and interact with spectators to raise interest and awareness for the Amgen Tour of California
•Create fun interactive experiences for all event spectators
•Create attention and attract traffic to activations
•Able to communicate key talking points about the Amgen Tour of California and create a fun and interactive experience for event spectators
•Promote revenue streams special offers (VIP Access and Merchandise)
•The role is a combination of a brand ambassador, promotional street team, and entertainment group
•Complete logistics/transportation of activation setup/promo items/collateral to each event
•Assist with activation load in/setup/teardown
•During these events Brand Ambassadors will be responsible for all activation transportation, setup, promotional items, collateral, teardown and return of all items to AEG’s Los Angeles facility
•Develop and activate bike shops and retail outlets
•Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Be 18+ years of age on or before February 1, 2017
•High school graduate (or equivalent)
•Clean driving record with the ability to meet rental car requirements
•Have a reliable form of transportation
•Ability to work up 20 hours a week, mostly weekends
SKILLS:
•Candidates must possess excellent oral communication skills
•Strong organization and time management skills
•Knowledge, interest and experience within the cycling industry is a plus
•Ability to drive large scale vehicles including full size SUV's preferred (vehicles up to 40' long is a plus)
