Our Search Partnerships team is seeking a Senior Manager/Director of Global Partnerships who will be focused on search partnerships in the US and globally, helping develop and grow key distribution and monetization partnerships worldwide.
A Lot About You
You are an ambitious self-starter with a proven track record of successfully closing strategic partnerships with companies across multiple industry segments. You are a consummate team player who works exceptionally well with both internal and external teams to meet strategic objectives.
You will be responsible for developing new search partnerships and have the opportunity to work with existing partners form around the world. In this role, you will be directly responsible for establishing, developing and executing key distribution, product, and monetization partnerships for Yahoo, with a focus on building and expanding Yahoo’s relationship with global partners.
You possess critical thinking skills as well as intense attention to detail. You are also comfortable with quantitative analytics and financial modeling, and enjoy applying those tools in a variety of settings. A clear mastery of verbal and written communication is critical as you will be required to lead meetings and present to all levels in the company, including the executive staff.
Your Day
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
• Source, structure, lead, negotiate and close strategic deals
• Work with internal stakeholders to include Product, Engineering, Finance and Legal to align on priorities and ensure support for deals and strategic partnerships
• Identify opportunities to grow and strengthen new and existing partnerships that deliver value to Yahoo
• Build and analyze business models to evaluate the financial and strategic costs and benefits of partnerships
• Define product and service solutions that meet partner's needs
• Drive relationship building process at multiple levels between partner and Yahoo, including at the senior executive level
• Work with internal teams to ensure organizational understanding of partner product strategy and needs
You Must Have
• A BS/BA is required
• MBA from a top tier program, investment banking, consulting and/or equivalent experience is preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of business development or equivalent experience
• Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills
• Proven ability to establish and grow trusted relationships with executives, peers and business partners
• Comfortable overseeing projects
• Strong independent leader, a strategic thinker and an accomplished communicator
• Flexible, enthusiastic, and self-directed; thrives in constantly-evolving environment and is able to deliver results
• Superior organization and time management skills; strong attention to detail and great follow-through
