We are now looking for a Strategic Partnership Manager to join our Shows & Editorial Partnerships team in Los Angeles. This role will look after the strategic partnerships that Spotify strikes with media, entertainment and content companies. The right candidate will have day-to-day responsibilities to ensure that it’s a win-win-win partnership for the partner, the end customer and us!
Responsibilities:
• Assume day-to-day responsibility of partner relationships post deal-signature.
• Build deep relationships inside partners organizations across all functions
• Be the ‘go to ‘person for the partners’ needs, defining and executing on the long-term partner relationship.
• Seek and secure activation opportunities, and carry out detailed partner analysis
◦ Ensure that Spotify's commitments in a partner relationship are delivered (e.g., marketing, data reporting, etc.) as well as follow-up on the partner's commitments.
◦ Coordinate with other relevant departments across the wider business, specifically Marketing, Content, Product, Technology and Revenue teams.
• Support distribution strategies/activities together with the partners.
• Identify new opportunities to grow the partnerships and unlock additional value for both Spotify and our Partners.
• Be an expert on partner business and overall industry.
• Be the voice of partner within Spotify.
Requirements:
• 8+ years of working experience in a partner services capacity
• Significant and documented working experience within the media/music/content industry preferably with large consumer media companies
• A strategic consulting, partner management or marketing background with a project and/or product focus with documented track record is preferable
• Strong and provable Project Management Skills, including data analysis
• Experience from working with partnerships.
• A self-going can do attitude, you won’t be afraid to step in when needed.
• You understand that cooperation and team play is key to success.
• Ideally you will have a Marketing/Economics degree, but this is not essential.
• Fluent in written and spoken English is essential
• Ability to navigate large organizations and build meaningful contacts with decision makers
