Position Description:
This is a challenging opportunity for the driven and committed career professional with a proven leadership and track record for success. As the Director, Direct Sales IoTs, the incumbent will lead a team of Direct Sales professionals - a technical overlay sales team, to drive sales and delivery of world class IoT (Internet of things) and Machine to Machine (M2M) services across multiple direct channels. The Mobility Sales group supports and sells to a wide range of mid market to Enterprise accounts connectivity and other complex business solutions. As the strategic leader for the Direct Sales Channel for IoT, this person holds accountability for collaborating with Regional Sales Directors to manage all aspects of sales, delivery and service delivery nationally. Strong sales cadence and forecasting will be a prime skill-set to enable success.
The successful candidate will report to the Vice President, Direct Business Sales and Marketing
Job Duties/Accountabilities:
• Lead a Direct IoT and PTT sales team to sell M2M/ IoTs and PTT solutions to businesses nationally.
• Support Direct IoT sales from Mobility Sales, Dealer and Bell Business Markets sales teams.
• Interface with marketing and product to build and convert sales funnel - through lead generation, targeted events
• Manage budgets and forecasts of all measurable revenue and expense factors to ensure achievement of EBITDA objectives and superior customer satisfaction results.
• Lead with confidence and motivate the team to deliver on revenue objectives.
• Accountable for Reporting and Target Setting (Win/Loss review, Run Rate Forecast , Funnel Management etc.)
• Collaborate with internal partners to manage current product portfolio and launch, and build funnel for, new products into multiple sales channels.
• Work with solution partners on sales initiatives to drive joint success and sales.
• Be proactive in learning/understanding industry segment trends that affect the business portfolio management space, and recommend changes to support initiatives.
• Recruit, hire and develop top talent that can further the IoTs/M2M portfolio
• Commitment to growing a performance culture by leading the team towards performance excellence with well defined IDP's (Individual Development Plans)
• Communicate project status, issues and results to business unit
Critical Qualifications/Competencies:
• An experienced sales leader who has a track record of success and managing across multiple channels.
• Develops overall account strategy encompassing people, opportunity, knowledge and partners.
• Demonstrated experience in enhancing productivity and optimizing a sales force.
• Recognized leader with clear track record of using teamwork to create competitive advantage.
• Strong content development and delivery skills, demonstrated in wide variety of internal and external/customer settings.
• Advanced financial management and business analysis, communication and social skills.
• Ability to formulate, articulate, and implement broad strategic programs.
• Strategic thinker with ability to quickly identify and understand issues and opportunities in an environment that is highly dynamic and competitive.
• A proven leadership who is committed to grow and develop high performance teams
• Engaging public speaker who can communicate Bell’s IoT position, offerings and value proposition and build credibility in the market.
Preferred Qualifications/ Competencies:
• University degree in Business, Marketing, or a related area, Masters or Professional Designation preferred
• Comes from a Telco or IT environment
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
