Position Summary:
This critical role will lead the team of User Experience and Design creative talent for the SiriusXM Digital Experience team. You will invent and execute innovative digital experiences across desktop and mobile experiences for public-facing customer website, as well as self-service account management profiles. You will be responsible for re-architecting the SiriusXM digital experience to meet our goal of conducting 50% of our transactions through digital channels. Your mandate will be to fully deploy content management, personalization in an agile development environment.
The successful candidate will be an expert and leader in crafting digital experiences with deep knowledge and experience of interaction design, site architecture (IA), and designing intuitive user interfaces and navigation for desktop and mobile sites. You should be at the top of your game (with design and technology) and be able to take projects from concept to completion while working closely with many departments.
You will help transform SiriusXM into a digital first enterprise. Ideal candidate will create breakthrough concepts and drive cultural change through the team and be accountable for meeting both business and creative goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead internal experience design team to invent and execute innovative solutions.
• Work hands on as a UX and information architecture designer.
• Partner with Creative Director and Brand Leader to manifest and bring SiriusXM brand to life in digital leveraging existing "road happy" brand. Amplify brand with interaction and ux design.
• Manage multiple work steams, with varying timelines and complexity for multiple clients with authority and passion.
• Responsible for end-to-end creative direction of the website, from defining complex user-stories, wire-framing and prototyping to visual design with accountability to results.
• Package creative concepts and present to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways.
• Integrate brand marketing and positioning with direct response to drive conversions throughout the entire customer journey.
• Develop IA that aligns to complex taxonomies and create the foundation for a system of modules, templates and landing pages that power the website experience.
• Collaborate with analytics and testing team on iterative tests to improve and optimize key metrics.
• Manage requirements for front-end development experience with HTML, CSS (Angular/Bootstrap).
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manages a team of 8+ employees across digital UX/IA, visual/graphic design.
Minimum Requirements:
• 12-15 years digital design and UX/IA experience for a large / complex websites with multiple KPIs; direct response and subscription experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Fine or Graphic Arts; or equivalent experience; masters or additional training/certifications in UX or Human Factors a plus.
Requirements and General Skills:
• Experience directing a team of UX designers and creative directors and developing their talent.
• Data-driven designer who understands how to target a message for a specific audience and drive conversions and transactional KPIs.
• A proven, subject matter expert in design and user experience architecture; experience with taxonomy development and building complex IA logic.
• Experience leading usability studies and user-testing both with in-person sessions and using digital technologies.
• Works collaboratively and be able to a give clear and constructive direction.
• Experience with web analytics tools: Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics.
• Experience with a/b testing tools and technology: Maximyser, Optimizely, Adobe Target, etc.
• Great communicator across all levels and working with a variety of personality types.
• Must have an impressive portfolio of samples that show your creativity and understanding of marketing objectives.
• Must have a collaborative work process.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced and creative environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Expert in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Expert experience with wireframing and prototyping tools (Axure, Origami, etc).
• HTML and CSS with Angular/Bootstrap experience; understanding of AJAX/JQuery capabilities and limitations.
• Knowledge of WCAG and accessibility requirements.
• Retouching and color correction expertise a plus.
• Acrobat Professional including digital workflow via annotations.
• Knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Expert level PowerPoint.
