Senior Business Analyst (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

OVERVIEW
Sony Pictures Entertainment requires a Senior IT Business Analyst on a 12 month fixed term basis to support our Corporate and Financebusiness users / functions, acting as the primary point of contact to manage the business relationship with IT.
Covering all countries across International (excluding US domestic), the Business Analyst will be responsible for day to day operations of several key business applications and will also work on multiple IT projects as required.
This role will work within the European head office in London and will determine business requirements / common needs for process and system changes and will liaise with the teams based in EMEA and Home Office (Los Angeles), using an off-shore resource pool, to deliver end-to-end solutions.
The successful candidate will possess very good analytical and communication skills, be a natural problem solver and be comfortable engaging with senior management.
Key Responsibilities include the following (but not limited to):
• Collect, review, analyses and manage, system requirements from business users
• Document detailed functional business requirements, process flows and use cases
• Work with the ADM (Application Dev & Maintenance) and SAP technical leads and Vendors to clarify functional requirements
• Primary liaison to the QA team, creating test scenarios and performing UAT
• Serve as a liaison to other teams in planning, co-ordination, development and deployment of multi-team enhancements or projects
• Ensure the delivery of projects and enhancements that meet the requirements defined by the business customer, raising issues/risks as required
• Building relationship as a trusted business partner with key business executives and to be the focal point for delivery of IT services
Qualifications and/or Experience Required
• Ideally experience of the Corporate and/or Finance business functions / systems (inc SAP FI/CO/AR/AP/MM ,&BW),
• Experience working with remote teams across the globe supporting many applications.
• Ability to proactively and productively work in team settings, including being receptive, open minded and objective when encountering diverse points of view
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills (senior stakeholder management, relations with external vendors and suppliers).
• Track record of analytical and creative problem solving skills
• Well organized, detail oriented with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while managing multiple concurrent tasks
• Ability to manage difficult and high expectations, good negotiation skills.
• Experience delivering a Business Requirements documents to confirm scope. Ability to map ‘as-is’ and ‘to be’ business processes, to help determine business requirements.
• Ability to pull together business case and justify ROI for projects/changes
• Able to plan detailed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Regression testing plans
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Project Management skills.
• Knowledge of entertainment media is preferred or a strong interest in learning the Film and Media content industry.
