Overview and Responsibilities
Nickelodoen is looking for a Multi-Platform Producer/Editor. S/he will join The TeenNick/NickMusic Creative Content Team aiding in the production of promotional and short-form videos to live across social, digital and on-air platforms and serving as the main point of contact between the creative team and the social/digital strategy team. The ideal candidate will have an impressive knowledge of current Nickelodeon live-action hits that air on TeenNick, as well as Nick legacy properties like iCarly, Victorious and Drake & Josh. Additionally we are seeking someone who is an avid music fan with a passion for pop culture and possess an understanding of how kids and Nick intellectual property collide with world of popular music. Having thorough knowledge of social media and experience writing, producing and editing content for all imperaplatforms is imperative. Specific responsibilities include:
• Attend appropriate meetings to understand business goals and programming strategies of all projects and translate to creative content for all platforms
• Work with the internal creative team as well as the social/digital strategy team to develop concepts, write scripts and collect assets to produce and edit content for air and social platforms that increase engagement and social chatter around our content
• Work with internal team to translate and optimize on-air creative content for digital platforms
• Stay current in pop culture and social media as well as trends in new technology related to video/film to generate innovative ideas
• Work as the main point of contact between the creative content team and the social/digital strategy team to ensure content and strategy are aligned
• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with fellow production team members and other departments including Production Management, Editorial, and Design on all phases of a project from ideation to final delivery
• Take creative direction and input from mangers but also work independently
• Maintain explicit details in schedules, assignment sheets, documents, and excel
• Work in ShowMgr to create and maintain graphic deliverables lists based on initial and revised creative and editorial
• Deliver final content to the social/digital team as well as work-reels to the library and ensure all appropriate paperwork is completed by the end of each project
Basic Qualifications
• 3 years experience producing and editing content for social, digital and on-air platforms
• Deep understanding and experience working with all different social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Vine, Tumblr, Snapchat, YouTube)
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere. Avid a plus.
Additional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• A passion and understanding of Nick programming (current and legacy), brand and Kids 6-11 audience
• Excellent creative abilities, production sense and aesthetic judgment
• Self-starter, creative thinker and problem solver who contributes out-of-the-box ideas and collaborates on strategy
• Detail-oriented, extremely organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Team player with a sense of humor
• Savvy social media guru who is self-driven, highly organized and adaptable
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
