The Manager Category Sourcing is responsible for leading and executing enterprise strategic sourcing and procurement projects across the Anschutz Companies. The individual will be responsible for overseeing critical supplier relationships, optimizing supply chain performance, and facilitating collaboration across suppliers and internal operating companies. This role requires prior experience and prowess in the technology and data security industries leveraging an ITIL framework. Individual must possess supplier relationship management, project management, and financial analytics skills. Additional responsibilities include aiding successful project implementations, quality control, and timely project executions.
Essential Duties:
•Procurement Analytics: Collects, organizes, and analyzes data from internal/external sources in order to identify major expenditures, savings and optimization opportunities, and contract price variances.
•Project Management: Individual must be effective in leading project teams for both tactical and strategic supply management initiatives which include coordinating meetings, gathering requirements, creating bidding packages (e.g. RFI/P/Q packages), building and managing timelines, budgets, contracts, and overall quality execution.
•Reporting and Compliance: Manages supplier reports that identify and areas of opportunities or validate savings as a result of SRM. Creates business case presentations for Executive Management that clearly communicate continuous improvement opportunities, risks and mitigation controls, sourcing efforts project status(s), supply chain and procurement strategies employed, and overall successes to date associated with enterprise initiatives.
•Supply Management Performance: Lead and execute projects and sourcing initiatives to maximize total cost of ownership and return on investment, developing and reengineering business processes, employing cost containment methods, generate cost reduction and cost avoidance opportunities.
•Market and Industry Insights: Researches target categories and commodities to obtain a thorough understanding of market factors, quality criteria, supply chain dynamics, value and cost generators aligned to Anschutz Companies’ strategic goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications:
•A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year)
•Years of related work experience: 5 years in Supply Chain Management role with a Technology focus
•Must be able to travel
•Sound working knowledge of procurement and MRP principles, techniques and policies
•Supply Management certifications (i.e., CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, CPSD)
•Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint)
•Advanced skills with JD Edwards (or equivalent ERP system), 3rd party Procurement and eSourcing systems, various industry and market analysis software products, and supplier order and inventory management systems
•Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
•Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
•Ability to manage multiple large, fast-paced projects at any given time
•ITIL Foundation certification and working knowledge
