We currently have an opening for a Hospitality Coordinator. This position will be located in Hollywood, CA.
Job Description
The Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for providing a world-class experience for guests of our Hollywood mixing studio. The Hospitality Coordinator ensures that clients are comfortable and able to work on their projects with minimal distractions while enjoying a curated selection of beverages, food, and downtime entertainment. The Hospitality Coordinator works in concert with the Hospitality Supervisor to ensure the facility is a clean, productive, and positive workplace environment for employees and clients alike.
Primary Responsibilities
• Provides exceptional accommodations for clients, employees, and visitors by anticipating their needs and building positive rapport to help retain their trust and patronage
• Greets guests and provides tailored choices for food and beverages to suit both individual tastes and project budgets
• Receives and places orders for guest meals, coordinates on-time meal delivery or pick-up, and ensures that guests’ expectations are met
• Picks up groceries, meals, and supplies and makes deliveries as needed (mileage will be compensated)
• Prepares in-house breakfast and snacks and carries out barista duties, including beverage prep and espresso and coffee machine maintenance
• Conducts research as assigned by the Hospitality Supervisor for upcoming events, recipes, and other projects
• Coordinates with Hospitality Supervisor, Porters and Account Coordinators to assist with stage/bay/lounge set-up and clean up as needed
• Maintains two guest-facing kitchens: keeps counters and cupboards clean and free of clutter, maintains stock of matching flatware, dishes, and glassware, and ensures replenishment of supplies
• Maintains guest entertainment amenities including lounge and studio media, literature, and games
• Coordinates daily stocking of client snack baskets, beverage refrigerators, coffee bar and break room supplies
• Performs weekly inventory of kitchen and pantry supply par levels
• Researches local food and beverage locations and maintains online and physical menus
• Assists in coordinating employee and client events
• Assists with coverage when Hospitality Supervisor is out
• Assists management with projects for Client Services and Studio Services, including but not limited to billing, job duplication, and studio maintenance
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• BA or BS degree preferred
• 1-2 years of experience with food service and/or hotel hospitality in a customer-facing role (barista experience highly desired, as well as an enthusiasm for executing basic food recipes)
• Current valid California driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation is required
• Capable of prioritizing departmental needs and managing time during busy periods
• Ability to transition between kitchen-based and administrative tasks
• Able to be stand for extended periods
• Must be service oriented, with the ability to exhibit professionalism with high-profile clientele
• Ability to work a flexible, rotating schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and some weekends
• Must be Mac proficient and have a working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and database applications
