Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, outgoing, and skilled person with expertise in visual, interaction, information architecture, and UI design for our live platform.
This is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden, and requires working onsite.
A designer at Uplay works to improve the platform by weaving composition, typography, iconography and color together to bring a visually pleasing and intuitive experience for our users. We care about our users and keep a close eye on the community to identify where we should put in the effort to best address its concerns and needs. We continuously conduct user tests to gauge our players’ behaviors, attitudes and emotions and use that information to continuously improve our platform. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of designers and developers, where everyone is challenged to expand their knowledge and always continue learning new things.
Operating a live platform is a team effort and presents an unusual challenge. You will work closely with colleagues and together solve problems and invent new technology and design patterns. From idea to implementation, you will play a key role in delivering a high quality end result.
Our work philosophy is that any team member, no matter their position or experience level, can contribute great ideas, and we would love to hear yours!
You as a person
You’ll rely on user-centered design principles to craft wireframes, mock-ups and prototypes which you then will help out implementing. You always strive for the best quality, but also know when a feature is good enough and when your time is better spent elsewhere. You collaborate and communicate in a positive and energizing way, adding to the culture and well-being of the team. You put the players’ and game teams’ needs first throughout design and execution. You are confident in your skills, but are willing to ask for help when you need it.
You are of course interested in gaming!
