Position Responsibilities Summary:This position will report to the Director of HR and will be responsible for the collegial creation of a Talent Attraction Strategy for Pearson OPM (Online Program Management). This includes the design, development, planning, measuring and execution of recruitment strategies to meet workforce demands. This role is accountable to independently plan, lead and monitor recruitment efforts to ensure successful delivery of talent to Pearson OPM. This includes, coordinating job requisition approvals, marketing & sourcing of positions, candidate pipelines, interviewing and interview process coordination, hiring recommendations, reference checks, background screening, on-boarding and liaison duties to vendors.
Qualifications
Principal Responsibilities: The responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to:
• Have passion for the recruiting and sourcing functions with strong experience in candidate development and a focus on candidate exceptional experience
• Analyze hiring managers requirements, translate those requirements into effective and efficient passive and active candidate generation strategies
• Manage the job requisition approval process and maintain the weekly open requisition report and associated metrics
• Maintains seamless process in selection, including candidate screening, interview and offer
• Conduct appropriate research of the industry and competitors for determination of qualified candidates
• Identify candidates through job board databases, online tools, advertisements, social media and existing candidate inventory to define appropriate candidates based upon needs of the hiring managers
• Lead and coordinate interview processes that maximize efficiencies, establishes accountabilities and enables successful hiring
• Lead salary negotiation with candidates to maximize probability of meeting the needs of the candidate and hiring managers
• Possess excellent communication and client management skills while displaying the highest degree of integrity in implementing the industry's best practices (sourcing, recruiting, candidate assessment)
• Help coach hiring managers on the intricacies of interviewing to gain specific insights and conduct debrief with candidates and hiring managers
• Leads the full life cycle of recruiting processes across all functional groups/business units
• Ensure compliance within the hiring practices to meet all state and federal employment regulations and laws
• Communicate with vendors and third party administrators
• Provides employee orientation and administers employee on boarding plans
• Liaise with HR Generalists and Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure effective functional support across sites
• Effectively support hiring managers at remote sites
• Ownership and maintenance of Applicant Tracking Systems; Taleo.
Requirements
• University degree in human resources, business or related fields highly desired
• 6 - 8 years of progressively responsible recruitment or talent management experience within a large organization
• Ability to manage high volume, high variety and work in deadline driven environment while balancing quantity of hire with quality of hire
• Highly skilled with recruiting software tools and MS Office/Google
• Well-developed internal consulting skills, exercising strong listening and mediation skills to interpret HR strategies and align department strategies and tactics
• Excellent ability to leverage technology (social media and internet) as a sourcing tool
• Strong process improvement mindset that ensures continuous improvement of processes
• Ability to build strong relationships with team members and work in a collaborative and consultative manner
• Critical thinking, good judgment and the ability to recognize communication needs and opportunities
