I. Job Summary |Major goals and objectives.
The Director, Traffic Operations will oversee daily management and supervision of all Log Editors, Copy Editors and Programming Coordinators. This position manages Inventory for all associated stations. In addition, the Director, Traffic Operations:
• Oversees scheduling of program formats into WideOrbit traffic system.
• Provides coaching, training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Facilitates communication between department and station sales staff as well as the Hub Master Control group regarding log formatting.
• Generates regular and ad hoc reports for Director of Ad Ops & other corporate staff.
• Provides training opportunities for the station(s) sales staff.
• Collaborates with Corporate IT Group to test WideOrbit updates.

80% Manages daily functions of Traffic Hub. Oversees input program formatting into WideOrbit. Facilitates communication with station management teams. Provides reports from WideOrbit application. Collaborates with Master Control on proper log formatting.
10% Oversees training on WideOrbit application for Hub staff.
10% Coordinates with Corporate IT group for WideOrbit application updates and other maintenance issues.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum of seven years’ experience in a broadcast television station’s traffic department or traffic role is required.
Minimum of two years of demonstrated success in a supervisory role is required.
Previous experience with WideOrbit is highly preferred.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and independently complete work assignments.
Must be adaptable and flexible with the ability to shift focus on new priorities.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with managers across the organization.
Must be team oriented with previous management experience in a results driven, deadline-focused environment.
