Responsibilities
Summary:
This position will support process improvement efforts across Universal Studios Hollywood. The Sr. Industrial Engineering & Data Analytics Analyst will aid in determining the most efficient ways to best utilize people, machines, materials, information, and data to provide world class service. This role will deliver real improvements that positively impact the business results, financial results, guest satisfaction and employee satisfaction through expertise in quantitative methods.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitate productivity and efficiency related analyses. Evaluate and improve methods and procedures for the various operational processes.
Analyze data using statistical tools and methodologies, summarize results, and recommend action plans.
Communicate analysis results and issues to Project Managers and Stakeholders.
Aid in the development of business cases & presentations to be presented from front line stakeholders to executive leadership.
Ability to influence and work with others in rolling out process improvements and initiatives, including implementing new procedures and/or standard work.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Statistics or related fields
Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in a related field
Demonstrated practical application of statistical methods/techniques
Proficient in one or more Statistical Programs such as Minitab, JMP, R studio
Knowledge of project management and process improvement methodologies
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio, Project), and other analytical tools
Experience with databases, programming and big data tools are a plus (VB, Tableau, Domo)
Experience in restaurants, production kitchens, or similar manufacturing environments
