Bell Media is looking for a Business Analyst for the Digital Platforms and Products team. The BA will be part of the Product Delivery Team reporting into the Associate Director and work closely with many other teams across the company such as brand and product owners, project managers, and developers. The BA will be accountable to gather, document, and analyse requirements for developing and implementing digital product solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Identifying business needs and opportunities by using tools such as SWOT analysis to determine the internal strengths and weaknesses, and the external opportunities and threats that could affect the project.
• Must be able to evaluate and illustrate project complexity, validate assumptions, identify constraints, risks and dependencies both internal and external.
• Stakeholder management–capture stakeholder requirements, connecting them to business needs and manage regular communication with stakeholders as required.
• Expand high-level business needs into detailed requirements, user-stories and acceptance criteria for project and developer teams to deliver the best in class digital products at all times.
• Develop and work closely with the QA team to write test cases and manage the QA process for projects through development until launch
• Prioritizing and organizing requirements.
• Use of analysis techniques such as flow charts and cause and effect diagrams.
• Managing changes to requirements.
• Liaising between business units, technology teams and support teams.
• Post mortem analysis of projects.
Required Skills:
• Business Analysis skills that require translating Product owner requirements into user stories and tasks for Development teams.
• Knowledge and Analysis Skills – be able to source, collect and evaluate information to present in useable forms to the relevant audience.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication and facilitation skills are vital for effective communication, clarification, and validation through the use of meeting management, cultural awareness, presentation, communication and relationship skills.
• Ability to work in a fluid environment that involves managing varied responsibilities, and multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary degree with a business focus, or equivalent, and/ or business degree.
• Minimum 3-5 years proven work experience as a Business Analyst on large-scale digital projects
• Leadership experience defining requirements and producing documentation.
• Project Management and/or project leadership experience in an Agile environment.
• PMP Certification/ Agile Scrum Master certification will be a definite asset.
• Experience working with Digital Development and QA teams.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills. French Language fluency will be an asset.
• Strong influencing and relationship management skills.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
