Responsibilities
Role Summary
Reporting to the VP - Integrated Marketing & Network Partnerships, the Director will supervise a team of marketing managers and oversee the strategy and development of sales materials for advertisers across the Lifestyle Networks. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in: marketing; leading client-facing presentations; developing, managing and executing integrated marketing campaigns; experience with major advertising categories.
Management: Oversee a team of marketing managers; Direct day-to-day workflow of team; Write team’s annual reviews; Recommend training for team developmental needs; Identify opportunities to improve internal processes; Work with team leads on project budget management.
Leadership: First point of contact for managers to help them resolve conflicts, obtain and negotiate necessary internal buy-ins and vet marketing programs. Identify and recommend campaigns that warrant press coverage and that require proper escalation. Succinctly and effectively provide feedback on performance in real-time.
Presentation Development: Quality control on all creative presentations for their respective team. Develop sales materials including but not limited to proactive and reactive pitch presentations and case studies.
Campaign Management/Execution: Oversee overall execution of program sponsorships along with respective strategy manager and provide solutions when challenges arise.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively and efficiently work with cross-functional teams including legal counsel, development, research, digital, social, partnerships, show producers, sales, and NBCUniversal cross-property teams. Develop deep relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to push creativity and create new opportunities for our advertising partners.
Strategy: Identify sales opportunities for Upfront and Scatter initiatives with their respective sales leads and develop sales strategy for team agency assignments.
Multiplatform Experience: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of marketing solutions that can be infused into client initiatives.
Client Relationships: Build trust with marketing clients to ensure best ideas and gold standard activation is delivered. Lead client meetings to present ideas or lead initial activation of integrated deals for high priority partners.
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college, preferably with a discipline in marketing; MBA or graduate-level education preferred
Six years of marketing, production, agency and/or sales experience
