Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the development and implementation of Marketing Communications and related campaigns and programs that seek to achieve subscriber and revenue goals. Executes Marketing Communications strategies, campaigns, and programs. Determines appropriate design and product messaging and reviews final development and advertising tactics. Oversees competitive marketing and tracking programs. Develops financial and operational objectives. Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives. Contributes to functional strategy development. Has a greater degree of impact on business results, and typically manages one or more groups of professional employees.
The successful candidate will apply their strong marketing communications acumen to execute customer upgrade, engagement and retention direct response strategies with high levels of quality, compliance, consistency and efficiency. Accountable for execution of marketing strategies, which includes creative strategy formulation, development and production of mail and direct response tactics, as well as readiness of telemarketing channels. Central to this role will be ongoing efforts in process and format and process innovation to ensure accuracy, improve timelines for go to market, and cost efficiencies.
Core Responsibilities:
• Works with area, division, and corporate contacts within the Company to assure consistency of brand voice, messaging, and outreach efforts.
• Directs agencies and local resources to design targeted acquisition campaigns for diverse marketplace.
• Collaborates with appropriate personnel to execute Marketing Communications strategies that advertise the Company's new and existing
products or services across all media.
• Manages the creative development of all marketing tactics for each marketing campaign and program, including: direct mail, brochures, web
content, sales letters, flyers, newsletters, newspaper and radio advertising, and other projects.
• Consults with leadership team regarding strategy, content, design, and production of all marketing materials and is responsible for ensuring
accuracy of content before being communicated.
• Provides leadership and direction to Marketing Communications personnel, and develops and implements appropriate methods, practices,
and policies to guide work.
• Serves as liaison with Public Relations and additional necessary parties to ensure project goals, timeline, and budget parameters are
maintained. Ensures key Marketing Communications programs are communicated both internally and externally.
• Partners with Media Services to develop relevant media plans for each Marketing Communications programs to help drive retention and
acquisition.
• Maintains regional marketing calendar and tracks associated expenses and accruals.
• Develops and implements mechanisms for response analysis to determine ROI on selected campaigns and programs.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Ability to maintain consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Specific Functions Include:
• Writes creative briefs for campaigns, managing the creative development process with internal communication and legal stakeholders and overseeing print production through mail delivery (through direct response analysis).
• Works closely with corporate, agency and vendor partners to determine appropriate design and messaging; negotiates pricing; holds vendors accountable to promised quality, timeliness and budget.
• Manages calendar of all campaigns; keeps projects on track.
• Proofreads all creative in development striving for zero defect.
• Co-creates mail schedule, secures format alignment with Acquisition and Corporate strategy partners.
• Secures all pertinent serviceability requirements for products working with Regional leads, Product Marketing and the Project-Management Organization to ensure deep familiarity with product and competitive message integration.
• Manages marketing budget, approves invoicing and meets with finance partners.
• Manages a direct report and manages their work flow and priorities.
Job Specification:
• Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent
• Preferred degree in Communications / Public Relations
• Proven project management skills
• Proven proofreading and copywriting skills
• Print production experience
• Budgeting and expense tracking acumen
• Compelling presentation and analytic storytelling skills
• Generally requires 8-11 years related experience
