The Challenge Ahead:
The Information Security Intern is a key member of the EA Security team which provides information security governance and risk management support for EA’s business worldwide. This covers all aspects of security risk and compliance, with an emphasis on Payment Cardholder Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), Enterprise Risk Management, 3rd Party Vendor Management and other industry and regulatory compliance requirements. The role will focus on helping to adequately protect sensitive personal information entrusted to EA from both our players and employees.
What an Information Security Intern does at EA:
As an Information Security Intern, your primary focus will be to work closely with the key business units such as Legal, HR, IT, Global Audit, etc. as well as game/ technical teams to identify security risks to the business and assess compliance to EA Security policies and standards.
You will be required to assist in various cybersecurity initiatives and programs with emphasis on the EA Data Protection Program. As part of this, you may be required to:
• perform security compliance reviews by collaborating with the various teams to manage project tasks and assist with satisfying compliance requirements
• gain an understanding of the EA environment to participate and make suggestions on key security issues and resolutions
• develop and implement a Data Protection Security Training and Awareness eLearning module for EA employees
You will also spend time participating in the development of the enterprise risk and compliance policies, standards, and procedures, and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of existing security processes. Maintaining a strong understanding of regulatory and industry specific security and compliance requirements is important to ensure ongoing and future compliance.
The next great EA Information Security Intern also needs:
• To be pursuing a Bachelor's or Masters’ degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other technical major.
• Solid understanding of assessing and designing internal controls in an enterprise-level environment.
• Experience in planning, organizing, and developing IT compliance policies, procedures, and practices.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
• Demonstrated ability to understand IT and business challenges in solving compliance issues.
• Knowledge of technology environments, including information security, encryption methods, and privacy-based solutions.
• Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
• Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient with written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and team oriented environment.
• Ability to multitask.
