DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales analysis and reporting for management and third parties.
Assist Controllers with budgeting and forecast process, including maintenance and uploading of monthly forecasts.
Identify information needs based on interaction with Controllers and operating departments, and create processes or analysis in response.
Analyze third party cost of sales, commissions, and other controllable costs as assigned
Perform variance analysis, with emphasis on sales and balance sheet comparisons.
Assist in implementation and enforcement of financial controls, including internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley testing
Process all local tax payments.
Special assignments include ad hoc managerial reports and corporate projects and presentations.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Our ideal candidate is an energetic, self-motivated individual who possesses the following:
Excellent analytical and research skills.
High level of proficiency in Excel (e.g., V-Lookups, pivot tables).
Strong communication skills; comfortable interacting with station management.
Ability to prioritize and maintain focus in a fast paced environment.
Familiarity with basic accounting processes, with exposure to general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, reconciliation and month end closing.
Radio/broadcast industry experience a plus.
4-years experience in Finance and/or Accounting strongly preferred.
4-year degree in Accounting or Finance required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, use hands, reach with hands/arms and manipulate a computer keyboard and ten-key machine. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Job requires a majority of the work day to be spent sitting and typing at computers.
