AEG Live, the live-entertainment division of Los Angeles-based AEG, is dedicated to all aspects of live contemporary music performance: touring, one-offs, sponsorship, festivals, and special events with seventeen+ regional offices and over thirty-seven-state-of the-art venues. AEG Live’s most recent tour roster includes The Rolling Stones, Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull, and Justin Bieber.
AEG Live is also the largest producer of music festivals in North America from the critically acclaimed Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to Stagecoach Country Music Festival and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
The Manager Social Media is responsible for planning and executing posts across social media accounts for AEG Live and collaborates with all AEG Live managed venue accounts. The Social Media Manager will implement AEG Live’s venue and brand social media marketing with the primary objective of growing likes, reach, engagement, leads and increased ticket sales. Responsibilities include content strategy, developing show and brand awareness and must source visibly stimulating design and imagery on brand with each social media outlet. The social media manager will convert fans to followers with a conversion strategy and will measure and analyze ROI with reporting to Marketing. The Social Media manager is a highly motivated individual with experience and a passion for designing and implementing content strategy, creating relevant content, blogging, community participation and leadership.
Essential Duties:
• Create, edit and manage social media content across AEG Live platforms
• Manage and maintain Social Media Calendar
• Collaborate with marketing department to develop long term marketing initiatives
• Research and create engaging content to grow social following
• Prepare and schedule creative promotions and create cross-promotional opportunities and partnerships
• Provide recaps on social performance
• Manage Influencer relationship building and maintenance
• Advise on social trends, new tools, applications, channels and new social platforms
• Monitor, listen and respond to customers and fans
• Analysis and reporting
Required Qualifications:
1. A minimum education level of: BA/BS is Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related area
2. 5 Years of related work experience.
3. Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience.
4. Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in Social Media. (Give links to profiles as examples).
5. Proficient in content marketing theory and application. Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
6. Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound.
7. Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Tumblr, Spotify, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
8. Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
9. Enjoys a working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to the Company's field.
10. Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format.
11. Exceeds at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and off.
12. Is a Team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
13. Makes evident good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly.
14. Understands data and tracking and ability to maintain dynamic linking systems
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with publishing tools.
2. Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques. Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
