AEG Live, the live-entertainment division of Los Angeles-based AEG, is dedicated to all aspects of live contemporary music performance: touring, one-offs, sponsorship, festivals, and special events with seventeen+ regional offices and over thirty-seven-state-of the-art venues. AEG Live is also the largest producer of music festivals in North America from the critically acclaimed Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival to Stagecoach Country Music Festival and New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for marketing, social media, online e-marketing public relations, promotions for venues, radio promotions, clubs, theaters, festivals, shows and one-offs. This position will develop promotional initiatives with artists and the community, to promote positive brand image. The Marketing Coordinator may also be responsible for coordinating the work of interns and street team for show promotions.
Essential Duties:
1.Maximize use of venue & team assets including signage, emails, media partners, in game promotions and socials to promote touring shows. Arrange planning calls between tour director, regional marketer and venue marketing team. Distribute all tour marketing assets to venues; press release, graphics, signage, video, radio, social assets & messaging etc. Update venues with all new social postings, marketing assets, social messaging, any artist initiatives, etc. Explore other promotional opportunities in venue and market.
2. Assist in and Coordinate research for pre-tour phase as needed. Stay in contact with regional marketers for all promotional events. Collect presale email numbers from venue and gather radio from regionals.
3. Monitor marketing trends, regionally, with artists, and implement new marketing strategies and campaigns based on current trends. Analyze fan base to target specific demographics to promote shows and
tours.
4. Assist with show advertising and promotional recaps for show settlements.
5. Organization of venue contacts and assets. Maintain venue contact, asset, URL/social grid. Record and maintain all promotions used in venues for future reference.
6. Manage calendar and trafficking of creative for nation movie theater partnership.
7. Secure and manage promotional tickets and items.
8. Maintain good working relationships with partners, co-promoters and media. Develop special initiatives to involve the community in events.
9. May participate in hiring and training of interns and street team. May also be responsible for the upload of expense reports, updating of office calendar, ordering of supplies, answering phones and general office administration.
Required Qualifications:
1. A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
2. Years of related work experience: 2-4
3. Knowledgeable and skilled in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Photoshop)
4. Basic accounting knowledge
5. Experience calendaring events
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills
7. Strong PR skills, social media savvy, and organization skills
8. Must have strong work ethic, problem solving and prioritization skills
9. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
10. Creative thinker; thinks “outside the box”
11. Knowledge of the music industry preferred
