The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating private event and group ticket related revenues for Regal Cinemas LA LIVE. As a multi-purpose facility, this includes: group ticket and film buyout purchase, corporate meetings, film festivals, movie premieres, company presentations, product launches, special screenings, award shows, press conferences and more.
The Sales Representative is responsible for building relationships with corporate clients and community groups, with a main goal of generating revenue from group sales and private event sales. Sales Representatives will also create partnerships with companies and organizations looking for opportunities to entertain clients, reward employees or utilize tickets for personal entertainment. Sales Representatives will support the management team in researching and developing new business initiatives.
The Sales Representative is responsible for telemarketing activities and new business generation (business to business appointments) throughout the year, as well as being required to work event nights, select ticket sales or public relations events, and other related programs throughout the year including evenings and weekends. Sales Representatives will be supplied with a limited number of business leads and are expected to develop new relationships with clients for all events. Sales Representatives are responsible for reaching sales goals provided by the management team for each event.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• 65% Direct phone sales to existing database and new leads for variety of events.
• 5% Outside sales including face-to-face appointments, networking events, etc.
• 10% Event duties including overseeing of event execution and visiting clients.
• 5% Customer service and relationship building activities, including service calls and client entertainment events.
• 15% Developing sales plans, researching new lead opportunities and creating sales presentations.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
Sales Representatives must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities.
• A minimum education level of High School Diploma or its equivalency; BA/BS Degree in Sports Management preferred
• 1- 2 years’ experience in direct sales or client account management.
• Assertive, persistent and results oriented.
• Ability to consistently adapt and re-prioritize based on sales needs.
• Ability to provide sales reports and contact feedback to management on a daily and weekly basis.
• Ability to thrive under a competitive sales environment.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Writing skills to write reports, presentations, etc.
• Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer CRM system.
• While looking to succeed personally, ability to support team environment and adhere to departmental guidelines.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Business to Business Sales, Sponsorship Sales or Ticket Sales experience in the sports and entertainment industry a plus.
