Competency
• Candidates for this position must have at least three years large to major market experience in radio news.
• Individual will be called upon to anchor newscasts as needed, with the primary responsibility in midday on WBAP.
• Experience with long-form, breaking, non-scripted, long-form news coverage is vital.
• Individual will generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections with the community
• Individual will set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of the company’s social content.
• Individual must have a solid understanding of how each social media platform works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging. You will be responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the stations
Qualifications
• Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good at problem solving and prioritizing
