LOCAL CONSUMER SALES & MARKETING MANAGER is responsible for executing and monitoring subscriber acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies to promote growth of subscription revenue and volumes.
Key responsibilities are:
• Driving sales and retention plans to achieve consumer growth and market penetration goals locally and within the regional sales group.
• Working with a team, the Local Sales and Marketing Manager develops and oversees the implementation of acquisition and retention programs that support the defined strategies.
• The manager collaborates on the development of volume budgets, creates corresponding programs to meet budget and monitors the associated budgeted revenue and expenses.
• Key success metrics are: growing subscriber revenue, achieving volume goals, increasing market penetration, managing expenses, implementing sales initiatives and customer engagement programs. Responsible for growing volumes in targeted ZIP codes that are attractive to advertisers, developing new sales programs and increasing engagement of subscribers on multiple platforms.
Required:
• Bachelor's Degree required, specialization in marketing and/or communications preferred.
• Minimum of three years of sales/marketing/retail or relevant business experience required.
• Digital background in SEM/SEO, retargeting, display and social media a plus.
• Creative and analytical ability and experience needed to develop new programs.
• Individual must have intermediate computer skills in Excel, Powerpoint and Word.
• Knowledge of presentation software is a plus.
• Well-versed in knowledge of sales, methods, channels and analysis.
• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
• To be successful, individual must possess strong project management and problem solving skills.
• Must be able to manage programs through peers and managers who report to different disciplines within the company.
• Must be able to develop and execute successful sales campaigns across multiple platforms to ensure budgeted sales and engagement goals are met.
• Individual must also be able to develop and expand relationships with vendors, internal customers, external customers and area businesses.
• Individual must be able to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to communicate effectively in a regionalized structure, building strong communication channels to consumer sales groups at remote sites.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet company-driving requirements.
