DESCRIPTION:
Showtime Networks, Inc. Summer Internship Program is designed to provide exposure to the cable/entertainment industry. We are looking for college students who are eager to learn and have a passion for pursing a career in the entertainment arena.
The intern will be trained in Post-Production, Domestic & International SVOD/EST, Domestic & International Television, Broadcast Operations, Hotel PPV, Airlines, Promotional & Marketing Materials, International DVD Distribution, Free TV Guidelines.
The intern will be involved and responsible, but not limited to, the following projects:
• Creating and clearing promotional and marketing materials (images, promos, digital media and photography)
• Sit in audio and edit sessions
• Open jobs on Red base database
• Retrieve music cue sheet for worldwide distribution
• Submit art requests for various art needs for worldwide distribution
• Archive cleared marketing assets to departmental server and promo assets to external vendor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Current undergraduate student (rising junior or above)
• Interest in the Cable/Entertainment Industry
• 2.5 GPA or above
• Submission of cover letter- required
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to work at least 35 hours/week for 8 weeks from 6/12-8/4
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment under deadlines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Able to provide administrative suppose as needed
Preferred:
• Cable television experience a plus
• Active participation in extracurricular activities; clubs; and/or associations. Leadership positions while maintaining an above average GPA, a plus
• Prior internship experience in a related field, a plus
• PC and MAC proficient
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiar with digital video formats & post production process a plus
• Must be a quick thinker and demonstrate enthusiasm for television distribution and entertainment marketing
