Position summary:
NBCUniversal is looking for an experienced, product-focused, and customer-centric technologist to drive innovation within the Advanced Advertising Products and Strategy team. The Sr. Director, Advanced Advertising Platforms, will play an instrumental role in identifying, scoping and implementing new products that leverage data and automation, and span NBCU’s $10B digital and TV advertising business.
Responsibilities
•Evaluate new technologies and platforms that support data-enabled and automated/programmatic video advertising. Areas of focus include: connected TV ecosystem, location-based targeting, cross-screen targeting, data co-ops and use of artificial intelligence technologies to drive insights and automation
•Assess build, buy or license models for delivering necessary technology and product enhancements
•Partner with internal engineering and/or external platforms to define business cases, requirements and implementation plan for new product offerings that align with strategic objectives and ultimately drive advertising revenue
•Work closely with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and evolve product roadmaps across short-, medium- and long-term time horizons
•Be at the forefront of new technology and industry trends in the TV advertising and digital video realms
Qualifications/Requirements
•7+ years product management experience in digital ad tech, advanced advertising, or other role that entails applying data and technology to drive outcomes in TV and digital video
•Demonstrated ability to successfully drive all aspects of product management, from inception to launch
•Deep understanding of TV/video ecosystem, audience targeting in video environments, and programmatic video marketplaces
Desired Characteristics
•Experience in the following areas is a plus:
oMonetization of IP-based/connected TV content
oAddressable advertising
•Collaborative mindset with experience working effectively across multiple teams and organizations
•Exceptional verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior leaders
