Overview:
IFC is the home of offbeat, unexpected comedies. Original series Portlandia, Documentary Now!, Stan Against Evil and the upcoming Brockmire air alongside fan-favorite movies and comedic cult TV shows. IFC is owned and operated by AMC Networks Inc., and available across multiple platforms. IFC is Always On Slightly Off.
The Digital Media Intern will help promote original content across digital and social platforms with the goal of impacting engagement with the IFC brand. The intern will assist the Digital department in a variety of multimedia projects, including: drafting editorial content, optimizing media for social platforms, preparing assets for mobile applications and network website, handling delivery of video assets, performing quality checks on consumer-facing products and content, and ideating custom creative pieces to leverage current trends. The intern should have a proven background in video post-production, design, web CMS, basic coding, and creative editorial content.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about comedy and wants to actively explore the future of TV in the digital space. At IFC we like to keep things “always on, slightly off”, so we expect you to have a unique POV and like funny stuff (we do too). Candidates that will be the best fit for our team are curious, take initiative, and have a keen eye for detail.
Skills Required:
• Passion for TV across digital platforms and social channels
• Command of: Wordpress, HTML and CSS, Adobe Creative design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc), After Effects, Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Premiere
• Knowledge of: Social Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and YouTube
